Donna Halper Interview

We are honored to have, as our first guest in this series of interviews, one of the very first and most important fans of Rush, Donna Halper.

As most of you know, Donna is credited with discovering Rush. What many people may not know is she’s also an accomplished author, educator and media historian who recently successfully defended her dissertation for her Phd.

Late in 2010, Donna took some time from writing her most recent book on the history of Boston radio (which has since been released) as well as her dissertation and graciously invited us to her home outside of Boston to discuss that little Canadian band. She’s an amazing storyteller and I would highly recommend going to see her speak if she’s ever in your town. We trimmed our discussion down to under 20 minutes, though it easily could have been over an hour.

I hope this video will not only be an informative look at Donna Halper, but also serve as a tribute to an amazing woman.

Her books are available here on Amazon.com and anywhere fine books are sold.

La Pre-Show Strangiato!

The La Pre-Show video is much more refined than the first banner video thanks to more content from fans.

The 2008 RushTour Banner also made it to nearly every North American show on Rush’s tour by being handed from fan to fan.
Once again, RushTour Forum members signed the back. We learned out lesson after the first one and ordered a much larger banner this time.

This video was assembled using pictures and video taken and sent to me by members of the board from around the world on the 2008 tour.

A Gallery of the banner pics used in this video is available on our Facebook page here

The Main Pre-Show Monkey Business

The Main Pre-Show banner video was The Rush Fan Film Project’s first original production.

The 2007 RushTour Banner was the original banner and made it to nearly every North American show on the first leg of the Snakes & Arrows tour by being handed from fan to fan.
RushTour Forum members covered the back with their signatures.

This video was assembled using pictures and video taken and sent to me by members of the board from around the world on the 2007 tour.
